Lanvin coat from the Autumn Winter 2006 collection, in excellent pre-loved condition. Designed in a blend of wool and cotton, it comes in the light shade of navy. The coat dates to Alber Elbaz years at Lanvin, and to a collection that picked up on Dior's New Look as much as it did on Schiaparelli's surrealism. Hence the surrealist detailing on the coat, and the feminine, hourglass cut. Elbaz modernized the shape of the best of the two worlds and meld them into a personal gift to the modern Lanvin woman of the time. The coat features one front button closure with a round, red crystal encrusted button, and a series of metal and crystal embellishments of the front, including the eye symbolic that again reminds of the surrealist movement.
